Sand Griffin

The up-to-date version of Sand Griffin. You can take a look of the old version (drawn about in 2003) in here: [link] As you can see, the limbs have been improved along the way, and also the head is larger.

Sand Griffin is large, powerful predator and scavenger. With its broad, round wings, it is able to take off straight from the ground. It has strong limbs and large, teethed beak. Unlike its relatives Ghost griffins, Sand Griffin's teeth overlap each other and are seen only when the griffin opes its beak (like in the head picture). The horns in the back of the head are only for displaying.

Note: The picture of the head is older, drawn maybe five years ago.
