A Decade of Griffins

** USE FULL VIEW, or you don't see anything **

And now a time scale for griffins! Here are presented some of my best griffin drawings over the years. I drew first ones when I was 15 years old.

Some comments...

1998: The very first griffins. You see, the wings were not exactly the size they should be, and there also were lots of mistakes in the body structure. The heads were quite good though, no matter the beaks were way too large.
From left to right: Bearded Griffin (perhaps imitated from Lammergeier, Gypaetus barbatus) and Wolf Griffin.

1999: I drew a lot, but mainly dragons. I hadn't learned very much from last year...
In here: A Tiger Griffin and a strange unnamed species.

2000-2004: I left the griffins for a few years from 2000 to 2005. I still drew a couple of gift pictures and some characters I had made up, but the "scientific" griffins became forgotten. I don't remember drawing any scientific griffin in 2004. Mostly I drew chars.
In here: 2002 - a gift for my little sister, an unnamed griffin (or wat that 2001). 2003 - Shial (species: [link]) and Adrien (species: [link]).

2005: Anyway, I started renewing the griffins' species and classification in 2005. Many new species were created and many old rejected. I also studied more feline and aquiline body structure, as it can be seen: the bodies became more what they should be. Also wings' size increased.
In here: Rock Griffin, Common Noble Griffin, and Tigrigryps gramineus.

2006-2007: This was the year I drew a lot of chars! There were hardly any "real" griffins done.
In here: Dimorga the Daraian Griffin ([link]) and Argente the Silvery Griffin ([link])

2008: Ok, this was the year I drew LOTS AND LOTS of griffins. Most of my griffin drawings are signed "2008". I clearly learned a lot of drawing during the past two years. It was very hard to decide the best ones, but here they are:

2009: Some new species were made up. Here are represented the brand new:

2010: A couple of griffin drawings came out. This is named Heavenly, still no hint of the griffin's species.
